Willow Weekends

Another great Willow Weekend is coming up on January 28! Grade K-2 students are invited to our interactive and engaging movement workshop, which will focus on reinforcing student’s listening skills through movement and play. Grade 3-5 students are invited to our dynamic STEAM workshop, where they’ll learn about the Engineering Design Process while practicing critical thinking skills. Both are at 10 a.m. and free! Sign up using the form below and give your little learner a comprehensive and fun experience!

Move to the Music! (Grades K-2) at 10 a.m. Beloved Willow Wellness Teacher Mr. Andy will lead participants to move with music as they hone their listening skills and spatial awareness. Games and activities will let children exhibit their abilities and build on their locomotor skills. Participants will run, jump, skip, gallop, and more! If time permits, they will play a tag game that teaches children it’s okay to be tagged and in fact it can be a great learning experience.

STEAM: Mystery Build! (Grades 3-5) at 10 a.m. Join The Willow School’s third grade teacher, Alicia Zurlo, to follow the steps of the Engineering Design Process! Participants will build mystery structures using a materials bank and budget. Tackling this technical challenge provides a great opportunity to practice 21st century skills such as creativity, critical thinking, and problem solving!
